Harrison’s Cafe & Bistro in Gedling supports farmers in poor countries by serving Fairtrade coffee to their happy customers.

The cafe & bistro’s owner Dave Harrison says that Fairtrade coffee is a popular drink in the cafe. When customers who aren’t aware of Fairtrade ask about it they’re pleased to buy it knowing that it is helping producers in the third world, especially as there isn’t a great price difference between that and non Fairtrade coffee.

As well as Fairtrade, the cafe & bistro serves freshly cooked meals using locally sourced ingredients. They provide vegetarian dishes and accommodate for specialist diets when asked.

Cafe opening times:
Saturday - Friday 9am to 3pm
Sunday - 11am to 3pm

Bistro opening times:
The fully licenced bistro will be opening in the evenings in October for those looking for a relaxing drink and delicious meal. Opening times may vary though so do check with the team at Harrison’s first.
